How to Stick to Your New Years Resolutions With The Help of Apps

Apps are so much a part of our daily lives that it is no wonder that some people are turning to apps to help them stick to their new years resolutions. There are apps to help keep us organize, help us lose weight, learn new skills, track goals, and so much more. No matter what your resolution is there are bound to be several apps to help you achieve it. In that vein, we put together a list of our favorite apps to help you stick to your goals and have a happy, healthy 2016. All of these apps are available for both iOS and Android and they are free!

Resolution 1: Lose Weight
Solution: My Fitness Pal
Let's face it, the number one most popular resolution is to lose weight and get healthier. My Fitness Pal is one of the most reliable and easy to use apps to help you do just that. Track your workouts and find out how many calories there are in the foods you eat by searching their database of over 5,000,000 foods. My Fitness Pal allows you to quickly track your fitness goals and it can now be synced to over 50 devices such as the Fitbit. Don't have a Fitbit? Track your steps with My Fitness Pal. Trying to avoid sugars, carbs, cholesterol etc? My Fitness Pal is there to help you keep track of all major nutrients to make sure you stay on track. Best of all it is free and boasts a 4.5 star rating on both iOS and Android platforms.

Resolution 2: Be on Time
Solution: Waze
Are you constantly late and trying to commit to being on time in 2016? Look no further than the Waze app. Waze is the best community based app for navigating through your city. Waze combines typical navigational maps and instructions with real time traffic information from other commuters, helping you to avoid accidents and other obstacles that could keep you from reaching your destination on time. Combined with a reliable alarm clock, you may never be late in 2016!

Resolution 3: Reduce stress
Solution: Colorfy
If your resolution is to reduce stress and chill out more, then Colorfy might be 2016's most surprisingly popular app to help you do just that. This app offers you "coloring therapy" which is basically a sophisticated coloring book for adults. Colorfy boasts that it helps relax the mind and relieve stress. Be present in the moment and mindful as you create beautiful pictures.

Resolution 4: Save Money
Solution: Jet
Who doesn't love to save money, and the new Jet app promises to help you save on items you already buy. Jet's owners say the prices on on the app will be, on average, 5 to 6 percent cheaper than you will find on other sites. Their technology searches for the most efficient and cheapest way to assemble your order and then passes the savings on to you. The more you put in your Jet cart, the more you save. Discounts are applied to your items after you place them in your cart. If your order is $35 or more, you get free shipping on your delivery. They also promise free returns and 24/7 customer support.

Resolution 5: Find Love and Get Out More
Solution: Coffee Meets Bagel
Did you have a tough time with Tinder in 2015 and now you want to take the guess work out of dating? Well Coffee meets Bagel aims to be your solution by letting your friends help fix you up. Well sorta. The app promises you a curated, high quality match or "bagel" each day by making sure that you and your match share mutual friends on Facebook. You then have a day to decide if you want to initiate a conversation with the match. If you do, Coffee Meets Bagel will allow you to chat and hopefully plan a date to meet in person.

Resolution 6: Declutter Your House and Finally Get Organized
Solution: OfferUp
Is your house so full that you could be seen on an episode of Hoarders? If so, you may find OfferUp to be the solution. OfferUp is a super easy way to sell your items to people in your area. Take a picture of your item, tag it, and write a short description. Before you know it you will be receiving messages from people that are interested in purchasing your items. You then agree on a safe place to meet up and hand off the items. It is basically a virtual yard sale.
